Happy 2009

New Year, new background colors. I'm bored with pink and it's not my favorite color, it just matched the print background the best.

New Year's Eve was a total non-event here, at least three out of four of us were asleep when the ball dropped.

Wednesday the office was open from 8:30 to noon, and the office manager was desperate enough for the extra body, she said it was OK for me to bring Thea to work, and Micah's sitter was also working today. Thea brought her traveling art box and set up shop at the empty desk next to mine. I actually broke a few child labor laws by asking her to take a few charts I'd managed to strip for scanning into the EMR to the file clerks. It was nice to have the instant gratification of getting the stuff off my desk, and she felt very self-important.


Meanwhile, Micah was peeved that he didn't get to come to the office, but he seemed to have a good day at Lisa's since it was just him and two others.

Dinner was take-out Chinese, and Steve's take-out place gave its usual suboptimal, indifferent performance. But at least I didn't need to cook.

So far 2009 doesn't feel all that much different that 2008.
